Our all-in-one introduction workshop to clay and ceramics! In 3,5 hours, you will learn how to make things at the handbuilding table, and have a go at the pottery wheel. You get to take one handbuilt piece home with you, after it gets glazed and fired (not on the workshop day, but later). Sign up for a fun day, or to get a better picture about doing a full ceramics course or throwing course.
The class group will be split up in 2. You will learn 2 techniques, taught by different teachers. Halfway through the workshop you will change to the other teacher and technique. In the handbuilding session, you will create a mug (or anything it might become), which will be glazed and fired for you. In the wheelthrowing session, you will learn how to center and pull up your first shapes on the potters’ wheel. You won't be keeping anything from these first attempts, but you will have a great taste for a future course. At the end of the workshop you can choose your glaze for your handbuilt piece. It will be glazed and fired by us, and ready for you to pick up after about 4 weeks.
