Love tarot? Curious what your card might have to say? Or just here for the mysterious cards and magazine cutouts? Draw one. Don’t show anyone, then forget everything you thought you knew about “doing art” and turn your card into a collage!
We’ll each draw one tarot card in the beginning of the workshop and keep it a secret! We’ll explore its traditional symbolism and then turn those ideas into our own visual interpretation. You don’t need to know tarot to join. Think of the cards as a creative prompt; a little mystery to get your imagination going. What does your card make you think of? And then, at the end: the reveal. We’ll put our finished collages on the table and discover which mysterious card inspired each one. A little tarot. A lot of collage. Some symbolism, some intuition, and absolutely no pressure to predict the future. Come if you love tarot. Come if you’re curious. Come if you just want to make something strange and beautiful. No art experience or tarot knowledge needed, just curiosity. All materials provided - unique paper scraps, textured paper, glue, scissors, and extra goodies to make your collage pop. Light refreshments and snacks to keep the creative energy flowing.
